A Day At The Zoo

So we finally renewed our zoo memberships:)  About time! LOL  We went with my friend and her kids.  All the kids are good friends so that makes for a very fun day:)

A Day Out With Thomas 2012

Hey All,
I know it has been a while since I posted but I guess it is just because we have been so busy having fun!
As a special treat for Kyle we bought tickets to A day out with Thomas.  He loved it!  Didn't say a lot but you knew he was loving it all.  He is like his Daddy sometimes and likes to keep it all in and just observe:)

Mommy and Katie's Day Together

Katie and I decided to have a day together so first off we had a bath and watched Beauty and the Beast while lounging in the nice warm tub:)  We meant to paint her nails today but time got away from us:(  Tomorrow:)
Next we came down and made chocolate chip cookies because she asked for some cookies for her to decorate.  I figured, kill 2 birds with 1 stone...I've been all over this blog www.foodgawker.com and I LOVE IT!!!!!  I am making a lot of new recipes this week and am very proud of myself for leaving my comfort zone and trying new dishes.  Anyways, back to Katie's day...After the cookies were finally done and ready to be decorated we used some of the cream cheese frosting that I had from the cinnamon rolls that I had made on friday night.  We colored them pink, purple and teal, added some mini m&m's and some red sprinkles and the kids had a blast!  They were both so good at it and Kyle really enjoyed eating the leftover m&m's;P
After that we played some trouble and then bed.  Oh how I love early bedtimes:)

Well here you go...finally some new pictures of us:)  I end up taking a lot more pictures with my phone and iPad so eventually I will have to suck it up and post those pictures here too but if you are on FB then you are able to see those pictures there.
The last day of Feb is Stand Up Against Bullying and everyone wears pink to show their support.  Kyle looks pretty dang good in Pink! LOL
Chris and I got to go out on some dates recently and we went and saw Chris Kattan one night and Norm MacDonald another night.  It was so much fun to go out with good friends.  I have pics of us with the comedians but they are on my phone so you will have to wait.  We all celebrated St Paddy's day by wearing green and a silly little leprechaun "peed" in our pancakes and eggs.
The kids and I went for a picnic at the park with our friends and Airdrie 360 asked to take our pictures and we are hoping they will be up on their website.  I LOVE having our pictures taken:)
I know I am looking forward to spring and summer.  Looking at getting the kids a swing set this year.  Almost have our decision made...
Chris is now using up his earned days off and he will have at least 2 long weekends every month until the end of sept.  We love having Daddy home!!

Sad Today:(

I'm sad today because my parents are leaving:(  It's been a wonderful visit filled with laughter, food, games and lots of hugs and kisses for all of us.  We will miss you guys very much and thanks so much for a great visit xoxo

New Ideas for my Blog

So, after chatting with Di, I've decided to steal some of her ideas and add some posts about my recipes and some other stuff.  There will still be lots of posts and pics of the kids;)

My Parents are coming for a visit!

It's been a long time since my parents have been out here and they are arriving tomorrow morning!  The kids and I are very excited!  I'm sure we are going to have a great visit and I'm really looking forward to not having to take Kyle with me to go get Katie;)
The weather has been really good lately.  We've been able to go to the park and the kids are really enjoying it:)  I've got some videos from my phone to upload but too tired to do it now so you will just have to wait:)
The kids and I went to Blue Grass Nursery this morning to see Balzac Billy the groundhog and see what his prediction was for winter.  He said 6 more weeks but if it's like the weather we've had recently I am going to be ok with that.
The kids and I went swimming on Monday and Katie is really trying to teach herself to swim and they both LOVE the water.  My little fishes.
