Still at it!

Oh man! I've worked out 4 times this week and am I ever feeling it! So many muscles hurt but it's so worth it! We went swimming today also for about 3 hours.
Still haven't had any junk food and I'm not even craving it:) Eventually I will have some treats again but I don't see the point if I'm not missing it.
Dianna joined me today at DayOneFitness. We both enjoyed it and enjoyed working out together.
I've been a bit obsessed with weighing myself so I am trying to wait 2-3 days. That way I will get to see a bigger change.
I'm so proud of myself and how much I am working at this new lifestyle.

Second fitness class

It was Family Day weekend here in AB and the gym was closed. So tonight was my second fitness class. Wow!! It was intense! But soooo worth it! I feel great when I work out. I feel a sense of pride that I'm doing something to change my life. I'm making a better life for me and my family.
I'm hoping to go to the gym 5 days a week. I'll be hurting for sure but it's all about Honouring You Body.

A New Jill?

I got strep throat on the second. Not fun! What an ordeal to get into a dr and then to actually get my prescription! In total it took 7 hours. The only plus was that I lost 6lbs and then I ended up deciding that maybe this was a good head start...so I lost another 6! Yay!! 12 lbs in 9 days. I signed up for Taislim and a fitness class. Day 1 fitness. I'm looking forward to both:)
Fingers crossed I don't pass out during class. Hahaha
Wish me luck! I hope that I get to update with some good news!

Poor Kyle is sick:(

So poor Kyle has got the cold from hell:(  He started to get a cold on Thursday and by Thursday night he had developed croup.  I tried to help fix it by taking him outside to open his throat and thought that it had helped but we ended up calling healthlink and they told us to go to the Alberta Children's Hospital.  She also said that I needed someone in the back of the van with Kyle in case his croup acted up again.  So, my wonderful friend Dianna came over and stayed while Katie slept.  We finally got home at 4am and boy oh boy were we all ever tired.  Katie had school that morning and Carmen drove her there and back so that I could try to get some sleep.  Unfortunately, Kyle had other ideas...he got up after only sleeping maybe 6 hours total that night.  Sooo tired!  We all just hung out as a family on Friday and we were really looking forward to the Santa Claus Parade in Airdrie(The first one in Airdrie in 6 yrs) on Saturday but poor Kyle's ear started to hurt so he and Chris stayed home.  Katie and I missed them so much during the parade:(  We had fun but just missed the other half of our family.   The parade was really great.  They had  a digger, police car, firetruck, no wonder I missed Kyle so much, Santa and they gave our some candy canes and some other candies.  Katie had SO much fun at the parade.  She was squealing with delight as she saw the floats.  Really looking forward to going next year with our friends.  Glad we just went by ourselves since I'm starting to feel like I am getting Kyle's cold.  Praying it isn't the cold from hell.  We also ended up missing an adult xmas party tonight.

Chris had his work party in November and it was AWESOME!!  It was so nice to go out and be all dressed up and have a really nice dinner with great people.  The kids xmas party is December 15 and we are really looking forward to that.  We have our own Christmas party next weekend.  Small with just a few families but we are really looking forward to spending some quality time with friends.

The kids have their own tree this year and did we ever decorate the heck out of that thing!  I just love it.  I also love our adult tree.  Elegant and perfect but I really do love the kids tree.  So many decoration, colors, garland, etc.

Not long now and Auntie Cindy will be here for Christmas.  Can't wait!  We are going to have such a great time.  I wish she was going to be here for New Years also but no luck.  We still have to decide what we are going to do for NYE.  Hmmm...

So I was going to post photos but I guess I now have to pay! What the heck!  Might be time for a new blog...

Olivia Rose Ripley

RIPLEY, Olivia Rose
August 2, 2012 – August 3, 2012
It is with lots of tears that we say goodbye to Olivia Rose Ripley, baby girl to Tyler & Dianna Ripley. Little Livy softly tiptoed into our world for just a moment but left footprints upon
all our hearts.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Airdrie Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11th from 1pm to 2pm. If friends and family so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Emergency Medical Services Foundation, www.emsfoundation.ca or Stars, www.stars.ca. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

My best friend Dianna and her husband Tyler unfortunately experienced  every parents worse nightmare.
Knowing that people lose their children is so sad but to see it happen to people that you love is unbelievable at times.  I was lucky to be with Dianna when her water broke and I got to see her mother in law help out so much and see the excitement in all of their faces.  To have all that change in just a few short hours is still tough to understand and process.

I miss Olivia.

She was a beautiful little baby girl with surprisingly big feet!  Anyone who has met Di and Tyler knows what I am talking about.
It is not good bye but instead goodnight.

While I am writing this, I don't know what to say or how to express my feelings.
I do know something though...Seeing Dianna and Tyler during all of this warms my heart.  They are so loving to each other and to see that in amongst all this gives me hope.  They are so loving to each other and do anything to help the other one.  For a lot of couples, losing a child rips them apart but with these two, it has brought them closer.  I love them so much and am so thankful that they are in my life.

Good night Olivia,
Love Auntie Jill xoxo
